Flight Medicine - Germany

National Health Recruiting is currently seeking a full time Flight Medicine Provider for a position to provide services overseas at an Air Force base in Germany. The provider will be capable of clinical oversight, close coordination with the monitor to assure that administrative tasks are properly accomplished; these include but are not limited to review of medical records of members being evaluated for initial certification, review of other providers care to member. Provider duties may also include frequent communication with the an official that has members on the base both at the home station and at supported remote units, being capable of providing education to the medical professional and support staff, being capable of supervising the care provided by Independent Duty Medical Technicians at remote sites both with respect to the proper disposition of medical decisions and to function as the IDMT's physician preceptor, and to be capable of participating in periodic visits to those sites throughout Europe.
In addition, the provider may be required to spend some time caring for the traditional flight medicine patients. This care shall include rendering comprehensive aerospace medicine, occupational medicine, and/or preventive medicine services in the outpatient clinical setting, including but are not limited to the primary care management of common adult illnesses and injuries, health risk counseling, pre-placement examinations, fitness for duty examinations, performs shop visits, medical management of exposure to environmental toxins, deployment and travel medicine. Qualifications: DO or MD from an accredited school Has served as an American Military Flight Surgeon Board of licensure Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine Hold national certification from a US jurisdiction Have training in Aerospace Medicine, Preventive Medicine, or Occupational Medicine Minimum of three years military experience working in a Flight Medicine Clinic is highly desired BLS ACLS If interested in the position please provide an updated word copy of your CV and best contact information. |
